Description:
In a proposed manufacturing process, small gas-filled polymer shells would be made by injecting gas directly into acoustically levitated prepolymer drops. In contrast to free-fall methods that allow only a few seconds for bubble formation, the new process would allow sufficient time for the precise control of the shell geometry.
