I agree America is in deep doo-doo. Probably deeper and smellier than any of us can really discern at the moment. On the other hand, I see countless and unlimited opportunities for America, as gathered individuals, to awaken. Which, as we see, is happening. This awakening is not about physical or political awareness so much as it is about spiritual awakening - not into some ancient and trouble-making belief system (religion) but into that realm and state known as Cosmic or Christ Consciousness. America is giving itself every conceivable opportunity to pursue this end state of mind. In the movie series "The Matrix" humans were plugged into the system and they lived out a make-believe life IN THEIR MINDS as programmed by the machines. Life in America today is not unlike these movies. People are plugged into The System through their jobs, sports, media, etc. and live out their lives, as someone described it, "in quiet desperation". The programming of unreality was and is being done by soulless corporate machines. That was then. Now there are millions waking up from their slumbering dream/nightmare and are seeing the dream/nightmare for what it really is - nothing but imagined experience. This awakening has been going on for about 40 years continually picking up speed, momentum and consciousness density (numbers). We can ascertain this awakening movement is gaining the upper hand. Forty years ago everyone was slumbering and going along to get along. Now we see the programming (coding) coming apart at the seams on all fronts. There are then two main themes happening concurrently: the first is people waking up, the second is those awakening ones are figuring out what it is they really want and how to implement that despite the continuing Matrix which resists all changes unless self-initiated. Because of this implacable resistance America has the world's largest prison population. Most of these inmates are not there because of some lawful crime but because they dared step outside the parameters as set by The Matrix; as in capricious statutory (corporate) rule breaking such as not filing certain documents, speaking freely or even desiring to act and be outside the rules/lines of prescribed and approved behavior. In other words America is at war with itself and has been for some time. Just as a wayward ego gets itself in all kinds of difficulties just prior to waking so we see the same dynamic on a national scale. America is not at peace within and therefore cannot be at peace without. When and as the chaos without becomes unbearably painful then we will witness an appeal for peace within - and that peace will then be experienced. This appeal for peace is already underway but has yet to reach critical resonance mass of numbers. This point of awakening (hundredth monkey) is something to look forward to as it does seem to be imminent. [Dale Pond, 01/03/2005] |
