When one awakens the first thing they realize is they have always been awake! There is nothing to awaken to! You are already awake. Unfortunately we have been convinced by our own interpretations of our experience that we are asleep and we need to do something. So awakening means dumping the illusion of not being awake! So there is nowhere to go, nothing to do except change our view and perception of who and what we are. Bingo! It is instantaneous when it happens or when you allow yourself to know that. Being awake means you recognize you are your mind and not your body. So all the bs associated with control on the material plane means absolutely nothing. Never did mean anything. We have erroneously placed too much importance on the material body - that which we misbelieve we are. So all the bs disappears from one's reality because it never existed in the first place. We awaken from that dream. |
