Conformity is a mental disease. Conformity subverts the individual will to the presumed will of the group and to proscribed rule-sets. The main function of public schools is to teach conformity - subservience to group-think. The main function of group sports (taught in public schools) is to teach subservience to rule-sets (rules of the games) and unquestioning obedience to unelected authority (referees, coaches and judges). And yet Amerikans flock to their sports played in homogenizing uniforms and root for a winner not ever realizing what is happening to their minds, morals and ethics. Do they even care?
