IF Awakening is being ego-less and IF character is an effect of ego then I wish I could be "out of character" all of the time.
Even so, I have noticed that when people are 'different' than the ACCEPTED NORM (of thought, speech or behavior) they are shunned, ostracized, etc. by those who seek what they mis-perceive as safety within a herd (non)appearance. Perhaps that is why "differentiation" is just another word for chaos wherein agglomerated individuals (atoms too!) split and go their own ways.....
