Well, thank you for the reading exercise. The quote submitted felt so wrong I had to look up the references. This is one of the reasons I have my library so I can read what is actually written as opposed to what someone claims to be written. While I didn't look up every page referenced I did look up ALL the pages referenced to be in Volume 2 of "The Secret Doctrine". Not one of those pages has the word "Lucifer" on it nor are there any things that refer to Lucifer. I didn't waste my time looking into volume 1. There is an index for both volumes. It lists the term "Lucifer" on these pages: volume 1: 70, 436; vol 2: 45, 111, 237, 511, 540. I did read several of those and none sounded even remotely like the quote presented. All this is quite similar to some of the nonsense I get from LL from time to time. Someone takes it upon themselves to falsify quotes vilifying someone else all so the so-called Christian minded can feel pious all the while condemning someone innocent. Actually what appears to be going on is HPB goes very deep into history and reveals some disturbing things about some current religions and their beliefs. So I suspect someone is feeling a bit threatened in their beliefs and so tries to invalidate her research and writings. I, personally, have no opinion one way or another. If you are really interested in what HPB had to say along these lines you can no doubt acquire a used copy of The Secret Doctrine from that very good used book store in Tulsa. There are two of them and I don't remember either of their names. One is downtown and the other was somewhere out near where your place was.
