| Music notation is wonderfully expressive to those who've learned to read it. The little markings and squiggles accompanying the score represent amplitude, time, velocity, tonality, etc. all pertaining to how the sounds are to be made and hence heard and experienced. A music score then is a 2D representation of a multi-dimensional experience. |
