You know I've been studying the Power of Mind and that our thoughts create our experiences (lives). Thought is like a magnet - it attracts that which it is. Think destruction get destruction. Think good positive and constructive thoughts and one's life reflects that. When I see a tornado devastated trailer park, for instance, it occurs to me some of those residents had destructive attitudes, thoughts and emotions about themselves and within their world view. These negative and destructive thoughts can be and often are deep unconscious thoughts not known to the awake objective consciousness. I wonder if it is pure coincidence that Tornado Alley coincides with the Bible Belt? Wherein the majority of the people believe in 1) a wrathful God beats up on them, 2) they are sinners and therefore deserve brutal punishments and 3) the general doom and gloom destructiveness of Armageddon. In other words FEAR attracts that which is feared plus chaos, disease, destruction, depression and death. Guilt results when one fails to be responsible for their own actions (thoughts). This guilt generates self loathing, self hate and fear which is then PROJECTED outward - in this case against God who gets blamed for every misfortune. When God is not visibly around to be the target others who think different become the surrogate target and are attacked. Not because they did anything to deserve such hate and violence but because the attacker is now overwhelmed by self hate and fear they are begging for Love (forgiveness from Divine abuse) and misthink attacking and murdering innocents will get them the Love (forgiveness from Divine abuse) they seek. Egoic thinking is really topsy-turvy thinking and begets that which it is - a mess. Maybe this also helps understand why hurricanes attack Florida and the south coast because that is where those who believe in divine persecution and self loathing retire to.... once retired with nothing to occupy their thoughts they idle their days away thinking how God hates them and will always punish them for what they perceive to be their condemning sins but which are in actuality their own negative judgments and opinions concerning themselves, thoughts and actions. Maybe this also helps understand the constant and horrific mess that is known as the Middle East wherein EVERYBODY believes in hell and damnation..... which is what they get. All of the above is not to condemn or deny God but instead reinforces the idea of a creative and loving God. He loves us so much and has such awesome power to create that every single thing we hold dear in our hearts and minds is given us without restriction, judgment or strings. You want a peaceful and loving life experience? You will have it according to your power of intent, desire and faith. You want hell on earth as your life experience? You can have that too in direct proportion to your intensity of thought (fear), desire and faith in such things. |
